Batista’s biceps surgery a success

Batista’s surgery to repair his torn left biceps tendon was successful reports The Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Four months of recovery was the estimated time given after the surgery, although talk remains of keeping him out as long as six months.

It should be noted that Batista wears elbow braces that cover the lower part of the biceps, so while the muscle didn’t look any different on PPV or television, those who saw him before putting the elbow braces on could see the tear in the lower part of the biceps. While some wondered why he didn’t wear a heavier brace, the impression was that they didn’t do that because they didn’t want to acknowledge the injury with the idea being it would kill the angle in play if it was made clear he was already injured.
