On the heels of recent WWE releases (Paul Burchill, Gregory Helms, Charlie Haas, Maria, and referee Scott Armstrong), more cuts are expected, reports the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. More announcements could be announced as early as this week. Apparently the powers that be within the company are pulling strings to save certain talent. A similar attempt was unsuccessful in the case of The Hurricane.
