Ricky Steamboat Jr. signs with WWE

Richard Blood Jr. (Ricky Steamboat Jr.) signed a developmental contract with WWE recently and will be headed to Florida Championship Wrestling reports The Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Steamboat Jr., who is 22, spent time training with Harley Race and spent a few months at the Pro Wrestling NOAH dojo. It was pretty much a given that he would get signed to a deal with WWE, but his father (WWE Hall of Famer Ricky Steamboat) wanted him to get experience all over the world before coming to Florida. He had spent the last few months wrestling for WWC in Puerto Rico and spent time at indy territories in the Carolinas and Missouri for more than a year.
