To follow up on earlier reports regarding Skip Sheffield suffering an injury at an 8/18 WWE house show in Hawaii, The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is now reporting Sheffield suffered a compound fracture in his left ankle and will need surgery. He is expected to have surgery some time next week once the swelling does down. Sheffield is expected to miss anywhere from four to six months of action as a result. This is obviously very bad timing for Sheffield as The Nexus storyline isn’t expected to still be around when he is healthy again with talks indicating it could end as early as October.
