Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson took to Twitter to comment on “Jabroni” officially making into the dictionary. The term was popularized through pro wrestling in the late-1990s during the WWF Attitude Era, especially by Johnson as “The Rock” character.
Johnson said in his post he made all of his teachers very proud, and that for the record, he may have made the word a noun and a famous part of culture. He went on to say that the Iron Sheik made it famous in the “wild wrestling locker rooms.”
Wow – very cool!
Honored have a word actually make the dictionary.
Making my all my teachers very proud 😉🥃
For the record, I may have made the word “Jabroni” (a noun, btw;) famous and part of 🌎 culture, BUT the Iron Sheik made it famous in our wild wrestling locker rooms!😉 https://t.co/ivsCkeVMJA— Dwayne Johnson (@TheRock) September 1, 2020
