WWE Superstar Paige took to Twitter Monday to ask how fans were doing in the midst of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, which included everyone’s biggest struggles.
Some fans responded back sharing their financial struggles. Paige then responded back asking the fans for their Venmo information, and ended up sending money to fans that responded back to her.
One fan told Paige to be careful as people received help from the Governement, alluding to the fact that Paige could be falling for a scam. Paige then responded that “some people didn’t or haven’t received help yet, and that some have bills and the pay out isn’t helping…”
Venmo is a service of PayPal and works by linking with your bank account and a credit or debit card. Transactions are made with either your bank account, debit card, and are free if you have a Venmo account. However, a standard three percent fee is added to credit card transactions. Venmo uses encryption to keep transactions and app data secure.
