Kevin Thorn (real name Kevin Fertig) was released by WWE today reports PWInsider. Thorn was sent back to WWE developmental after his vampire gimmick on the ECW brand faded out following the release of Shelly “Ariel” Martinez. He had just been scheduled to be brought up to the Smackdown brand in a group involving Vade Hansen to start a feud with The Undertaker, but a last minute change was made and plans for the angle were called off.
