WWE is featuring an interview with new NXT Champion Johnny Gargano (above) shortly after he defeated Adam Cole in the main event of last night’s TakeOver: New York.
Gargano spoke at length about capturing the championship for the first time.
“I’ve dreamt of this moment for a very, very long time. I never knew if it would come, honestly. And I tried to imagine what it would feel like and who would be there. I couldn’t dream up a more perfect night than tonight. Waiting makes things more perfect when they happen. It really is a dream come true, for someone like me who was told that they would never be in this company to becoming the first triple crown champion in NXT history. I love NXT. I want to do what I can to carry this company.”
