Update on The Miz and the planned finish for the WWE World Cup at Crown Jewel

During the finals of the WWE World Cup Tournament at Crown Jewel on Friday, Smackdown Commissioner Shane McMahon ended up stepping in for The Miz and went on to defeat Dolph Ziggler to win the tournament in Saudi Arabia.

Many wrestling fans were wondering if that was part of the planned finish or if Miz actually ended up tweaking his knee before the finals could get started with Ziggler.

F4WOnline reports that Shane winning the tournament was always planned and that Miz suffering the knee injury before the match was simply a storyline.
