WRESTLING COMES TO GLENDALE STADIUM
GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) – Glendale has been picked to host next year’s WrestleMania – pro wrestling’s biggest event.
It will be staged next March at University of Phoenix Stadium.
WrestleMania is expected to pack the stadium – home of the Arizona Cardinals – and overflow Glendale’s entertainment district.
World Wrestling Entertainment’s negotiating with Westgate City Center, next to the stadium, to host WrestleMania’s Rock the Block Party.
And like the NFL Experience associated with the Superbowl, WrestleMania Axxess should set up near the stadium with four days of fan activities.
