Advanced ticket sales for WrestleMania 25 in Houston, TX on April 5 have now topped $6 million making it officially the largest gate in the history of North American pro wrestling reports The Wrestling Observer Newsletter. The show also beats out any MMA gate in North America. The all-time pro wrestling record was $7 million in 1998 for Antonio Inoki’s retirement match at the Tokyo Dome, while the all-time MMA record is $7.4 million in Japan for the Kazushi Sakuraba vs. Mirko Cro Cop match at Tokyo National Stadium.
