Former WWE Champion is expected to make his return to WWE within the next month

Beginning in 2018, Wrestleview.com has returned to monitoring and reporting on any stories making the rounds among the wrestling media. These stories will be clearly marked as a “rumor” (as highlighted in the image above) for reference.

Former WWE Champion Dean Ambrose, who’s been out of action since December, is scheduled to make his return to WWE within the next month according to PWInsider.

Ambrose underwent surgery for a torn triceps injury in late December last year, with the expectation being he would be out of action for up to 9 months.

While not confirmed, the belief is that Ambrose could be scheduled to make his return at SummerSlam in two weeks from Brooklyn, New York. It’s also possible that WWE has factored Ambrose into storylines immediately following SummerSlam as well.

Ambrose’s injury late last year ended up stalling the return of The Shield on WWE television featuring original members Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. A health issue with Reigns stalled The Shield reunion early on, forcing both RAW GM Kurt Angle and Triple H to sub-in for Reigns at both the TLC PPV and live events overseas.
