WWE loses TV in South Korea

WWE recently lost TV in South Korea reports The Wrestling Observer Newsletter. The company’s $6 million per year contract with C.J. Media expired, which owns stations XTM that broadcasted Raw and TVN that broadcasted Smackdown, ECW and Bottom Line. WWE was initially introduced to the South Korea market in September 2000 and according to Sung Min Soo (the South Korean announcer since the beginning), he doesn’t believe any other station in South Korea is interested in airing WWE because it is too difficult to get sponsors on the shows.
