News and notes from the 8/29 Impact taping in Cleveland

Some notes from the recent 8/29 TNA Impact Wrestling TV taping in Cleveland.

* TNA President Dixie Carter was not in attendance at the taping on Thursday night. She is scheduled to return at the upcoming 9/12 “No Surrender” themed Impact Wrestling taping in St. Louis. According to a report by Mike Johnson this week, many within TNA were waiting to see how Carter would react to recent comments by Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff following a Q and A session in Toronto.

* Magnus ended up making the show just after it began and worked the second taping to air next week on Spike TV. He was initially pulled from the taping after he needed to return to the UK in order to get a new work visa.
