Gawker Media files motion to dismiss Hulk Hogan lawsuit

Gawker.com (Gawker Media) filed a motion on 12/7 to dismiss the lawsuit brought against them by Hulk Hogan. PWInsider.com reports that Gawker feels Hogan’s lawsuit “fails to state a claim upon which relief can be granted because (a) defendants’ conduct involves speech about a matter of public concern and is therefore shielded from liability by the First Amendment; and (b) plaintiff fails as a matter of law to establish the elements of each of the torts.” Gawker Media is asking for the entire lawsuit to be dismissed.
