One of the main reasons Joanie “Chyna” Laurer was brought into TNA had to do with original plans involving former WWE NXT Diva Lindsay “Aloisa” Hayward. According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the company got “cold feet” when original plans were to use Hayward in the role alongside Kurt Angle. No one reportedly informed her of the change in plans as she showed up at the taping, but wasn’t used for television tapings. TNA has no future plans for her as of now. It should also be noted that Chyna was described as the “better of two really bad alternatives.”
