Southern California wrestler Cincinnati Red passes away

Gregory Daves, better known as Cincinnati Red, passed away on Friday at the age of 40 as the result of a heart attack. Daves, who was a longtime wrestler in Southern California, started in 1993 and headlined events around that area for years.

He was Samoa Joe’s original pro wrestling trainer. Joe issued the following on Twitter.

Samoa Joe (@SamoaJoe): “Beyond destroyed right now.. RIP Big Hardcore Cincinnati Red. My trainer my mentor, my friend.”
