MMA fighter turns back to pro wrestling

With his MMA career in limbo at the moment following a positive drug test for anabolic steroids, Josh Barnett will turn to pro wrestling and will wrestle at an IGF (Inoki Genome Federation) event on August 9 in Japan reports MMA.fanhouse.com.

Barnett was scheduled to face Fedor Emelianenko at Affliction’s third PPV event this Saturday in Anaheim, CA, but the event was later cancelled when Barnett tested positive for steroids. The Affliction promotion itself ended up folding after only two events and worked out a new sponsorship deal with UFC instead.

Barnett has taken part in pro wrestling matches in Japan and most recently with Tank Abbott that you can view below.
