Guest Booker with Jim Cornette (www.kayfabecommentaries.com), which went onsale today, gives Cornette the opportunity to sound off on the biggest botched angle in recent wrestling memory — The WCW Invasion. Cornette’s insights are deep and far reaching. The booking exercise segement of the show has him rebooking the angle and writing all of the promos in remarkable detail.
But Kayfabe Commentaries co-owner Sean Oliver remarks that something else emerged from his commentary. “In discussing the Invasion and not just went wrong, but also the ‘state of the union’ at the time,” Oliver began, “we see Cornette open up about the entire story surrounding the erosion of the developmental relationship between OVW and WWE. It’s amazing to see how closely the stories intertwine. Clearly there’s some very open wounds between Jim and the staff in Connecticut.”
