Legendary Indian wrestler passes away

PWInsider.com has reported that Dara Singh, an actor and legendary wrestler from India, passed away in Mumbai, India yesterday due to cardiorespiratory arrest. Singh had been hospitalized on July 7th and was released from the hospital the previous day before his passing.

Some WWE personalities commented on Singh’s passing.

William Regal on Twitter: “Very sad indeed to hear of the passing of the legendary Wrestler Dara Singh. I wrestled for him in India in 1992. A truly elegant gentleman.”

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross on Twitter: “Legit legend. Big rival of Lou Thesz. RIP.”

Singh was 83 years old.
