Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson hinting a return to WWE at the Survivor Series PPV in November is also due to the timing of the release of the new “WWE ’12” video game as he will be an updated playable character with promotion being built around him. His name is being pushed heavily for pre-orders. While he has been part of previous games, this will be the 2011 modern Rock instead of the character from eight years ago.
Mick Foley also dropped hints about being in negotiations to be a character in the new game as well. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that some discussions have even taken place about bringing Foley back for a match at Wrestlemania next year after his deal with TNA expires in September (that is unless he is able to get out of it early).
