Lesnar pulled from UFC 131 due to health issue

According to UFC President Dana White, Brock Lesnar has been pulled from the upcoming UFC 131 card due to serious health issues. Shane Carwin will replace Lesnar and face Junior dos Santos in the main event on 6/11. Lesnar’s diverticulitis has returned, which kept him out of the UFC for over a year before. He stressed that he wasn’t retiring and that it wasn’t the end of his fight career. It is believed he will require surgery that would once again keep him out of action for another year where he would get his part of his colon removed and reattached. Lesnar had already been filming the countdown show on Tuesday to hype his fight with dos Santos when symptoms started up three weeks ago. He reportedly went on antibiotics, started a second training run and wasn’t able to train well.
