Several media outlets, including the Los Angeles Times, is reporting that retired NBA star Kobe Bryant, along with four others died in a helicopter crash.
It is being said the helicopter he was traveling in crashed and burst into flames Sunday morning amid foggy conditions in the hills above Calabasas in Los Angeles, CA.
The crash is said to have occurred shortly before 10:00 am PT near Las Virgenes Road, south of Agoura Road.
Also according several reports, sources said the helicopter took off from Orange County, where Bryant lived.
He played his entire 20-year career in the NBA with the Los Angeles Lakers. He entered the NBA directly from high school and won five NBA championships.
Bryant was 41 years old, and leaves behind a wife and five children.
