Eric Bischoff on trying to work with wrestling media and why he stopped with Dave Meltzer

Former WCW President and current “83 Weeks” host Eric Bischoff joined Wrestleview.com for an interview last week discussing a number of topics, including his take on the wrestling media and why he was open to talking to them during his days with WCW and TNA.

Bischoff specifically cited Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter as one individual he tried to work with and later stopped doing for a specific reason.

“There was a period of time when I wanted to have an open door policy with Dave Meltzer and I did for a while. And I thought if I’m open with him and available to him, at least he’ll double check some of the crap he writes. Well I opened up, gave him time, made myself accessible and he still continued to write sewage. So I said f*ck it, not doing that anymore.”
