New Japan Pro Wrestling has announced that Rey Mysterio, fresh off his appearance at the Royal Rumble, will wrestle for the company for the first time facing off against legend Jushin “Thunder” Liger at the Strong Style Evolved even on March 25.
The event, which will be New Japan’s return to the United States in Long Beach, will broadcast live on AXS TV as announced earlier this week.
The announcement went down at New Japan’s New Beginning show in Osaka this weekend, with Mysterio issuing the challenge to Liger who accepted.

Mysterio and Liger previously wrestled at WCW Starrcade back in 1996.
