Reports that Bill Apter has joined the NWA are premature. “An unauthorized press release announcing the addition of Bill Apter to the NWA team is regrettable”, said the NWA’s Bruce Tharpe. Tharpe went on to say that discussions concerning a possible role for Apter with the National Wrestling Alliance are “ongoing.”
Bill Apter added the following, “I have known Bruce Tharpe for many years and he has always impressed me as a true gentleman and savvy businessman. I look forward to continued discussions with him. I appreciate the National Wrestling Alliance retracting this statement and there are no hard feelings.”
