Josh Mathews was originally scheduled to replace Jerry Lawler on commentary during last week’s 5/18 WWE Monday Night Raw taping when Lawler did the injury angle getting beat up by Big Show. These plans changed when they started taping the Superstars match with Smackdown commentators on Monday’s before Raw and since Jim Ross was there it made more sense to put him out there with Michael Cole considering his history with the show.
