During tonight’s WWE Extreme Rules PPV, Jeff Hardy defeated Edge in a Ladder match in the main event to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
After the match, CM Punk walked down and cashed in his “Money in the Bank” briefcase. Punk then defeated Hardy with a GTS to get the win and become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
Also taking place tonight at Extreme Rules was Batista pinning Randy Orton clean in a Steel Cage match to become the new WWE Champion.
