I was watching a replay of WWE Extreme Rules, and got into the Ladder match between Jeff Hardy and Edge. While this match had just started, Jim Ross and I believe it was Todd Grisham were at ringside doing the commentary for this.
Todd Grisham then said that the first Ladder match in the WWF/E was the Ladder match at Wrestlemania 10 between Razor Ramon and Shawn Micheals. While this may be the one that everyone remembers, this was not the first Ladder match in the WWF/E.
The first Ladder match was Shawn Michaels vs Bret Hart, on July 21, 1992. The Wrestlemania 10 Ladder Match was on March 20, 1994, almost a 2 year difference in these 2 matches. This is not the first time the WWE has done this, and I do not believe it will be the last.
