After the failed CM Punk first pitch try for the Cubs game on May 15 due to a rainout, WWE was trying again with John Cena on June 20. However, just as CM Punk was replaced for the 7th inning stretch by Jim Belushi; John Cena is also being replaced for the stretch by George Lopez. John Cena is still scheduled to throw out a first pitch.
This should still be seen as another slap in the face to pro wrestling, as I feel WWE decided to have John Cena, the 2nd time around, due to feeling he would be a bigger name. However, WGN seems to be un-relenting in cross-promoting between WWE Superstars and Chicago Cubs baseball.
