During last night’s 10/6 episode of Impact Wrestling on Pop TV, Eddie Edwards defeated Lashley in the main event to become the new TNA World Heavyweight Champion.
TNA President Billy Corgan had announced at the beginning of the show that all champions would defend their titles on Thursday night. Lashley was given the option by Corgan of picking EC3, Moose or Edwards for his opponent and went with Edwards.
