WWE star Erick Rowan underwent surgery on Tuesday to repair a torn rotator cuff in Birmingham, Alabama according to reports by Prowrestling.net and PWInsider.com.

Rowan, who had the surgery performed by Dr. Jeffery Dugas, is expected to be out of action anywhere from four to six months as a result of the surgery.

He has been part of the Smackdown Live brand since the roster split back in July and appeared in backstage segments on last week’s show with Randy Orton.
