WWE announced on Friday evening that the Royal Rumble PPV will return to the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas on Sunday, January 29, 2017.
The Royal Rumble was held in the same venue back in 1997 drawing an estimated crowd of 60,525 fans (48,014 paid) headlined by the 30 Man Royal Rumble match and Shawn Michaels vs. Sycho Sid for the WWF Championship in the main event.

Tickets go on sale beginning October 14 at 11:00 a.m. Eastern (10:00 a.m. CT).
