Entertainment Weekly is reporting that FOX has renewed “American Grit”, an extreme competition series hosted by WWE star John Cena, for a second season.
The show, which is also executive produced by Cena, featured 16 contestants being “pushed to their limits” in a series of challenges testing strength, willpower and teamwork.
With the return of the show, it likely means Cena will be forced to take some time away from WWE television. No word on when the show will begin filming.
Casting for the second season has already started. Cena issued this tweet about the news.
