WWE has announced that Dean Ambrose will defend the WWE Championship against Seth Rollins on next week’s 7/18 RAW from Providence, Rhode Island.
This match will take place just one week prior to the WWE Battleground PPV where Ambrose was set to defend against Rollins and Roman Reigns in a triple threat match.
From Mike Tedesco’s WWE RAW recap on 7/11:
“At WWE Battleground, Dean Ambrose will defend the WWE Championship against Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. The WWE Champion going into that match will be determined next week as Ambrose will defend against Rollins on RAW.”
