WWE star Alberto Del Rio is currently working through a back injury according to multiple wrestling media reports on Friday. One report cited issues with his lower back after taking a german suplex from Brock Lesnar during the Royal Rumble match.
Del Rio did not work the Smackdown tapings on Tuesday night in Tampa and is scheduled to have his back reevaluated in Birmingham on Monday. WWE is still advertising Del Rio for live events this weekend in Chattanooga, Tupelo, Birmingham and Memphis.
Much like the Sheamus story, WWE has yet to officially comment on the Del Rio injury.
