WWE to conduct checks with talent over medical insurance

Talent was informed by WWE on Wednesday that the company will begin random checks with insurance providers to confirm the information talents provided WWE in regards to personal medical insurance is correct and up to date as of 2/21/15.

According to a report by PWInsider, WWE told talent that their health was a top priority and that should the company learn that they do not have up to date medical insurance, talents would need to immediately resolve the issue or “not be available” for use.

This would mean any active WWE talent would no longer be used for television tapings and live events going forward if their medical insurance was not in proper order. WWE required all signed talent to purchase and maintain personal medical insurance back in May 2011. WWE covers costs for any in-ring related medical issues or injuries, including surgery and rehab.
