Reports: Daffney lawsuit against TNA settled out of court

Former TNA star Shannon “Daffney” Spruill has settled her lawsuit against TNA out of court on Friday morning. The settlement came during a mediation session where a judge was set to make a ruling on an important aspect of the case over whether Spruill was an employee or an “independent contractor” as claimed by TNA. When a hearing was set, TNA’s team contacted Spruill about a settlement.

The lawsuit stemmed from Spruill suffering injuries in excess of $26,000 in medical costs at the TNA Bound for Glory PPV event in 2009. Terry Taylor, who is no longer with the company, claimed TNA would be covering the medical costs and never did. This led to her filing the suit and later getting released by the company.

Spruill issued a statement on Twitter that you can view below.
