According to Puroresu Spirit, it has been announced that ROH World Champion Davey Richards will not be able to wrestle at tomorrow night’s NJPW “Wrestling Dontaku 2012” show due to being involved in a car accident in the United States. Since Richards, who was scheduled to defend the IWGP Jr. Tag Team Titles with his partner Rocky Romero, it has been announced that the IWGP Jr. Tag Team Titles have been made vacant and a decision on the titles will be at a later date. There has been no word yet on the severity of Richards’ injuries from the car accident, but as of this time, his status for the May 12th “Border Wars” Internet PPV in Toronto, Ontario, Canada where he is scheduled to the defend the ROH World Title against Kevin Steen is unknown.
