New Japan Pro Wrestling’s 40th anniversary event on 1/4, the annual Wrestle Kingdom show at the Tokyo Dome, drew 23,000 fans (announced as 43,000 fans). Former WWE star MVP, current ROH star Shelton Benjamin and ROH Champion Davey Richards wrestled on the card. It ended up as the third largest crowd of the company’s last eight shows at the Tokyo Dome.
