According to a report from F4WOnline, Konnan is home recovering from heart surgery.
It was noted that Konnan (real name Charles Ashenoff) was hospitalized on last Thursday, after suffering what was described as a lot of pain in his chest. It was said that Konnan had stated the discomfort was initially caused from fractured ribs he suffered during an a segment last June on AEW Dynamite, where he was attacked by FTR.
Alfonso Lizarraga of The Gladiatores, has said that Konnan’s surgery was due to his COVID-19 diagnosis. This could not be confirmed by F4WOnline.
Konnan contracted COVID-19 last February, after he was hospitalized for what ended up to be a serious kidney issue. It has not been confirmed if Konnan contracted the virus again prior to heart surgery.
Lucha Blog is reporting Konnan is now “in stable condition.”
