Theatrical gross for “The Chaperone”, WWE Studios

WWE Studios’ “The Chaperone” starring Triple H ended up grossing $12,700 durings its first and only weekend of release, granted it only played in a dozen markets or so. It ended up grossing more than “Knucklehead” did. As noted earlier, all future WWE Studios film releases are designed to make money off DVD sales, but are given a theatrical release so it doesn’t appear as a straight-to-DVD release. One interesting note is that “Legendary” starring John Cena ended up grossing $129,964 in its first weekend and $200,000 total at the box office, was in more markets and has lost money with the DVD release so far.
