Report: Stevens makes bid for “Awesome Kong”

Recent attempts by Kia “Awesome Kong” Stevens to register her ring name while in TNA as her property was officially dropped as of December 3, 2010 reports PWInsider.com. TNA, who owns the rights to the name, opposed her attempts to trademark the “Awesome Kong” name back in August of 2010 stating she never owned the name to begin with. She only used that ring name while with TNA and used the “Amazing Kong” on the indy circuit. TNA also claimed that she used fraud and misrepresented herself when she applied for the ownership. Stevens never responded to the claims and lost her bid to trademark the name after she was warned in October that if she didn’t respond, she would lose the bid and was officially ruled against on December 3.
