Report: Possible change for WWE PPV commentary

Although not official, there was talk of a possible announcer change in regards to WWE PPV events as soon as the TLC event in two weeks on December 19. According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, both Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler have expressed not being big fans of working with Matt Striker for the PPV shows. Were told at one point during the Survivor Series PPV last month that Cole took his headset off to yell at Striker for talking too much (this was before Striker’s blown call at the end of the main event). It is possible CM Punk could end up replacing Striker, although it would mean three Raw announcers and give the perception that Smackdown remains the “B” team. Todd Grisham isn’t likely to be given the spot as he hasn’t received high marks this year (which is why Cole was added to the Smackdown team). Cole and Lawler have reportedly pushed for Jim Ross to be brought back as the third man for PPV broadcasts only.
