WWE’s tour of Mexico “box office disappointment”

WWE’s recent tour of Mexico last week has been described as a “box office disappointment.” The Wrestling Observer reports the company only drew 9,000 fans in Mexico City (less than a half house) featuring Rey Mysterio def. Alberto Del Rio with his father, Dos Caras, as the heel special guest referee. In Monterrey they drew 15,000 (95% full house) and it ended as the lowest WWE attendance in that city in over six years. Guadalajara drew 10,000 fans with around a 70% full house. The feeling is that WWE was running the country too frequently.
