More clarification regarding the drug Soma

Mike sent this in as a follow up to an earlier report:

Here is some additional information too:

It is also a schedule IV drug in Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Mississippi, New Mexico, Nevada, Oklahoma.

It is also a schedule IV drug in Texas, but a new law states that doctors must obtain a D.P.S. number, as well as have a D.E.A. license number in order to prescribe the drug.

In West Virginia, Soma is a schedule III drug, which makes it the same schedule as Vicodin, Vicodin Extra Strength, et. al.

It was pulled off of the market in Sweden in 2007, and in Norway in 2008 because of it’s issues with dependence.
