TNA Knockouts Champion Awesome Kong is suffering from a back injury right now reports PWInsider. She isn’t expected to miss much time in the ring, but will be missing TNA’s upcoming tour of the UK as a result. It remains to be seen when Kong suffered the injury as one report indicates it was sometime last week. Kong had been scheduled to face Christy Hemme at last night’s Genesis PPV in a title match with Lumberjack rules. That match was scrapped when Hemme was pulled after suffering a legit neck injury. It appears the company decided to pull Kong from the card at last minute as well and opted for a six Knockouts tag last night.
