WWE Friday Night Smackdown Tapings for January 23:
– Edge came out to start the second taping and said he had nothing to do with the pyro incident with Jeff Hardy. Matt Hardy then runs out and attacks Edge. They brawl into the crowd.
– The Undertaker defeated WWE U.S. Champion Shelton Benjamin in a non-title match.
– The Great Khali defeated Chavo Guerrero.
– The Bella Twins vs. Michelle McCool & Natalya is thrown out when Maria runs down and attacks McCool. WWE Divas Champion Maryse was on commentary.
– Backstage, Vickie Guerrero tells Triple H that if he loses to Vladimir Kozlov she will make him enter the Rumble at #1.
– Edge defeated Matt Hardy in a No DQ match. Mark Henry and ECW Champion Jack Swagger interfered to help Edge get the cheap win.
– World Tag Team Champions John Morrison & The Miz defeated WWE Tag Team Champions Carlito & Primo. Miz pinned Carlito.
– Vladimir Kozlov & Big Show (Vickie changed it to a 2 on 1 Handicap match) defeated Triple H. So Triple H enters #1 in the Rumble.
– They did a post-taping deal between Triple H and Edge. Edge ran down for a cheap Spear attempt on Triple H, but got a Pedigree instead.
