Despite an episode of WWE Main Event advertising otherwise, Asuka vs. Becky Lynch for the Smackdown Women’s Championship is not taking place at the Royal Rumble.
Former Smackdown Live General Manager Paige took to Twitter on Friday to explain why the match is now off and not taking place in a few weeks.

WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar will be appearing at the RAW taping on January 21 in Oklahoma City, just a few days before the Royal Rumble PPV.
