As noted in Josh Boutwell’s live coverage on Sunday night, Johnny Impact defeated Austin Aries at Bound for Glory to become the new Impact World Champion.
Impact got the win following a Brainbuster and Starship Pain on Aries. However, moments after the pinfall, Aries was spotted standing right up and no-selling the finish.

As reported earlier, the ending to Saturday’s Hall of Fame induction saw Aries and Impact get into a heated confrontation in what appeared to be a why to hype up the match.
The belief is that the actions by Aries on Saturday and last night during the PPV was a way to blur the lines with his character going forward.
Impact will be taping television in the coming days from the same venue (Melrose Ballroom). So, should Aries show up we will get a better idea of what the plans are.
